A pay per click campaign is a short description and link for your site that appears in the paid listing section (often called sponsored results) of a Search Engine’s Results Pages (SERPs).
Each time someone clicks onto your link you pay a certain fee, so it’s called a cost per click (CPC). What you pay and your subsequent listing depends on three factors:
The adverts are purchased via PPC advertising suppliers, the two largest of which are owned by Google and Yahoo. Google's program is called Adwords and displays results on Google, AOL, Ask Jeeves and many smaller search engines. Yahoo's program displays results on Yahoo, AltaVista and many other smaller search engines.
If this is all sounding a little too complex, don’t worry, here’s a quick guide to how our PPC services can help you:
Noisy Little Monkey’s honest, transparent approach is key.
We won’t be afraid to admit if some of the search terms haven’t really worked for you. While it provides instant visitors to your website and often immediate sales or enquiries, PPC is an ongoing process.
We’re totally open about that and will happily provide you with the appropriate training to evaluate your own PPC success and take over when we’ve got you up and running, or we can look after things going forward to ensure continued success. Whichever works best for you and your budget.
If we still haven’t persuaded you to contact us, and you’re intent on starting this yourself, we’re so nice, we provide training in Google AdWords and have published some free tips on Google AdWords for beginners. Have a look, give it a go, and if you find it’s a jungle out there, call Noisy Little Monkey. We’ll have you climbing to the top in no time.
*Google AdWords calculates a quality score for each of your keywords. It looks at a variety of factors to measure how relevant your search term is to your advert text and to a user's search query. A search term’s quality score is frequently updated and is closely related to its performance. In general, the higher your quality score, the lower your costs and the better your advert position.
