Why measure website sessions by source?

Knowing which sources drove traffic to your website helps you understand what marketing activity is working. If you're blogging regularly and providing useful resources for your audience, then Organic Search and Social should feature highly. If you're paying for AdWords then you'd expect to see paid search high up in the top drivers of website sessions by source.

Can't see this? You probably need to make sure you're logged into the right account and looking at the correct View.
