Well here’s a blog I never thought I’d have to write…
With everything that’s happening globally with COVID-19, I’m sure it won’t come as a surprise to you to know that I’ve decided to postpone the upcoming Digital Gaggle conference in April.
I’m gutted but it’s the responsible thing to do.
The plan for now is to shift the event to a date in September or October – I’m just waiting on confirmation from the venue on availability. I’ll announce the new date as soon as it’s been pinned down.
Check your inbox - I’ve sent you an email. If it’s not in there, check your junk or *cough* quarantine. If you still can’t find it, email claire@noisylittlemonkey.com and I’ll resend it to you.
Why don’t you just host a virtual event?
We toyed with the idea of hosting a virtual event, but the reality is one of the best bits about Gaggle is getting everyone out the office, away from their desks and delivering an experience which inspires them to do their jobs better. I personally don’t think online events can do that in the same way as in-person gatherings.
Will the speaker lineup be the same?
That’s the plan but I can’t say yes for certain right now. I’m in the process of talking to each of the speakers to ensure they can join us for the next date. As soon as I know more, I’ll let you know.
Events & Marketing Manager Claire writes about events, and, uh, marketing.
