Join the Monkeys!
Are you creative, hardworking and desperately seeking that elusive foothold in a digital marketing agency?
This is a junior role in our small, but perfectly formed team of digital marketing heroes. From day one you will be juggling learning with doing. We are a HubSpot Platinum Agency and we expect all our team to have a deep understanding of the Inbound methodology, the HubSpot platform and some elements of technical SEO. We don’t expect you to have this on day one, but to spend your first three months powering through the HubSpot academy.
At the same time, you will be part of a client facing team, delivering inbound marketing campaigns and putting into practice all your learning. This will include: developing strategies, managing campaigns, brainstorming ideas, writing content and social media posts, measurement and evaluation.
This is a challenging and creative role that is predominantly client facing. It may be ‘junior’ because there’s lots of learning to do, but we are looking for people who can boss client communications. You need to be confident at presenting your ideas and have strong persuasive skills - we will chuck you in at the deep end as - for us - that’s the best way to learn.
We're a small team so there is nowhere to hide and what we do is constantly changing! You need to be able to adapt, be able to clearly communicate with clients, work well within a team, know when to ask for help and when to just give it a punt. We tend to work with B2B, legal and big ticket eCommerce clients so we ideally want people who can come up with ideas for a range of industries and the rare ability to make the mundane fascinating.
On a personal level, you must be able to plan your time and be proactive in managing your own workload. As good with numbers as with words, you will love problem solving and be comfortable working individually or as part of a team.
Digital Marketing, Proper Job
Noisy Little Monkey is a digital marketing agency, specialising in inbound marketing and technical website excellence.
You might have come across us at Digital Gaggle - the conference we run - or as speakers at various conferences and events across the UK.
Our history and social channels will tell you almost everything you need to know about us. What isn’t on the website is that you’ll be working 37.5 hours a week with half an hour for lunch (but how and where you work can be flexible the longer you're a monkey). You'll get 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, we also have a ‘never work your birthday’ policy and a strong emphasis on personal and career development
The Tobacco Factory is at the heart of beautiful, brilliant North Street - with secure bike storage and a bar and theatre downstairs, it's a pretty amazing place to work.
Our key recruitment criterion is that you must have a proven fascination with digital marketing – so you'll have worked, interned or gained work experience for an organisation in a digital marketing capacity, or have created your own website, blog regularly or be an avid user of social media. Creative, enthusiastic and organised, this is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in an irreverent, dynamic agency that will support your learning and career development.
- Graduate level or equivalent (even if you didn’t finish your degree)
- Excellent written skills - you must love writing - be able to write for different audiences with a strong attention to detail, excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading
- Persuasive communicator - you’ll be dealing face to face with clients, so you must be confident in picking up the phone, pitching ideas and talking to clients
- Proven experience in solving problems with tenacious curiosity
- A fascination with new things, a passion for sharing creative ideas and an eye for detail in the finished product
- Comfortable communicating on a wide range of social media platforms
- Organised and able to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Full driving license
As this is a junior role we're not expecting you to have all of the experience but if there is something that you've been working on that is relevant or is interesting, make sure to pop it in your covering letter. Maybe you've set up social advertising before, have experience with Wordpress, Buffer etc. or maybe you make a mean lemon drizzle. Whatever it may be, let us know!
