Having left a little later than planned and as a result, getting stuck in the tail back of a lot of cattle on wheels, we arrived at the Shepton in Business marquee in a very muddy field. A quick makeover for the Noisy little Monkey stand and the 160th Shepton Show was underway.
One of the great things about the Shepton in Business tent is that it is within easy reach of great coffee and the monkeys need plenty of caffeine to get themselves going in the mornings. Another great thing about the marquee is being with some of the local businesses from Shepton and in amongst the presence of pink balloons, sweets and local beer (sadly no biscuits).
So our competition of the day was to give people the chance to win a noisy flying monkey by uploading a photo of a favourite animal at the show.
Only a few people were injured during the promotion, a handful offended, but most loved it and we have some great photos for you to see here: www.facebook.com/noisylittlemonkey
Our other main involvement of the day was at the dog show. This was our first year of sponsorship and we chose to sponsor “the dog who hasn’t won a prize” at the companion dog show. Sadly Mr Dog’s nerves got the better of him so he was unable to enter, but with great excitement, the winner was chosen. A beautiful white terrier, proud recipient of the Noisy Little Monkey Cup.
We were delighted to see Gracie of JSB Design coming in third in the same class. Well done Kathryn and Gracie, we look forward to seeing you compete again next year!
As official dog show photographers, we also caught some wonderful moments and some beautiful species pedigrees breeds were paraded around the ring. See our Facebook page for the full selection.
Thank you to all at Shepton in Business, the Mid-Somerset Show and all the visitors for making it such a great day. See you all next year.
